Love trains, but never heard a single good reason for hs2. From a local point of view it utterly misses Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. Destroys priceless ancient woodlands along it’s carbon intensive, noisy construction route, cutting towns like Long Eaton in half. Oh yes and it costs about as much as we need to put into the NHS
